Job completed for Plano Travertine Tile Cleaning

The entryway is the first thing guests see when they walk into a home, but over the years, it also bears the brunt of everyday life. This was exactly the case for a local homeowner who finally decided to call us after realizing their entryway’s travertine floor was looking heavily aged, dull, and dark. Between years of high-foot-traffic bringing in outdoor dirt, and the slow, inevitable accumulation of soapy cleaner buildup, the natural stone had lost all its character. Travertine is highly porous, meaning that when incorrect cleaning methods are used, dirt and old cleaning products get trapped in the stone's natural pits and pores, creating a stubborn, grimy film. Because the flooring was quite old, the homeowner had lived with it in this state for so long that they truly had no idea what the original color, pattern, or luster of the stone actually looked like.

We knew this natural stone was begging for a deep, professional restoration. To tackle years of embedded dirt without damaging the delicate travertine, we utilized a specialized, self-contained pressure washing technique. This process combines heat, targeted pressure, and specialized natural stone cleaners to break down both the traffic dirt and the sticky residue from previous household cleaners. Simultaneously, the self-contained vacuum extraction immediately draws the dirty water and grime out of the home, ensuring a mess-free and deep clean that reaches into every microscopic crevice of the stone and grout lines.

As the years of buildup were stripped away, the transformation was nothing short of miraculous. To show the contrast of the before and after, we took progress photos where you can see the drastic, night-and-day difference where our equipment had passed compared to the untouched areas. The dingy, darkened surface gave way to the beautiful, warm earthy tones of natural travertine that had been hidden for years.

The customer was absolutely thrilled when they saw the final result. They were genuinely excited about the revived natural color, the gentle, authentic luster, and how incredibly smooth and brand-new the entire entryway looked. They could hardly believe this was the same floor they had walked on for years, now fully restored to its original, welcoming beauty.
